I agree with rumit123 about 50-150. There is value in the age of the domain, but that's as far as it goes IMO.

is it getting any traffic?
are the visitors looking for any of the cities or countries you've listed?

Traffic is minimal Bob, and I am asking for an appraisal based on domain name only.

Thanks for yoou appraisals guys but I would like to see some more educated feedback regarding this one from other members. HDtravel has been sold for $3,700 in April 2008, Aztravel.com - 1,700, RTravel.com fo 2,300 in October 2007 and Nztravel.com for $6,500 in 2006! I am sorry but $50-$150 sound like a hasty conclusion.

Aztravel.com is brandable.

Nztravel.com is New Zealand travel, and definitely worth every penny.

Jtravel.. doesnt mean much of anything.

No need to be arrogant mate!

J could be for

* Jamaica
* Japan
* Jordan

So I think it's pretty good for development

Exactly, could be ANY of those, not one particular country comes to mind straight away though does it? You would much prefer the keyword in the name.

my thoughts...
HDTravel = traffic from hd travel channel on tv...
AZTravel = Arizona travel...
RTTravel = typo of http://www.rttravelincentives.com/ ?
NZTravel = New Zealand Travel
JTravel = Japan Travel? John's Travel?..at least low $x,xxx. IF it does have traffic, value goes way up since travel traffic is valuable.

Thx. Nobody mentioned Rtravel sale...
I am not arrogant bud, and since this is an appraisal thread you forgot to say that this is not a $50 name! I know that you agree with me, aren't you?

Cheers,

Somebody better let the owner of JDate.com know that their domain is really worthless after all, btw.

Anyone care to add "Jewish Travel" to all the others?

Now, everyone knows how valuable the travel industry is, don't they, and the term "travel" in the OVT suggestion tool, which I got to work not all that long ago, may never have dipped below x,xxx,xxx either.

This is a great travel domain, and I wonder how DNP is always coming up with these winners anyway.

Mid $x,xxx floor, low to mid $xx,xxx easy and reasonable end user; higher than mid $xx,xxx final outcome would also not exaclty come as a shock, either.

DNP and I don't know each other and are not exactly pals or anything, but I'm here about the truth and the name. Plus I was just about to hunker down with the tube for a bit when I found this and felt I had to speak up for the cause.

So let's get real - this is a very good travel domain for a top industry.

I admit that I probably did understate it a bit, but I think this type of name would be difficult finding an enduser. SEO types wont touch this domain because it doesnt include keywords. Those wanting it for branding and offline advertising could probably afford a much better name. You can't be comparing this to the likes of Nztravel.com there is no comparison.

Could it be the contrary?

I mean... Since the "J" could mean many things, there would be more end users = more possible sales = more $$$ ?

I could be wrong though, actually I have no experience in dealing with high-dollar names like these. I'd also like to hear what you guys think about my reasoning.

(from SEO standpoint, if you simply want a keyword-rich domain, you can register keyword1-keyword2-japan-travel.com)

I think the value of this name is more on the brandability.
Definitely an $xxxx name, or more for end-users.

IMO, this one is particularly hard to appraise. The J doesn't ring a bell quickly, yet it sounds nice and might represent A LOT of meanings... or none.

I think the best way to assign a value for this one is just "Sedo-ing" it, cuz a market is made whenever a buyer and a seller agree in a price. You did it recently with one of your biggies, so why not here?

As for a very personal opinion, even if other Xtravel.com's have gone for x,xxx, I wouldn't pay more than USD 50-150 for it, which is in agreement with another member, so I think he might not really OFF, he is just stating his personally PERCEIVED VALUE. I didn't see any sarcasm or offense to the domain name or the seller, so it is an appraisal as valid as any other.

I am gonna pass here on telling a price, only the market can tell...

There are many Asian travel agencies named "Jade" which often just short for "J". You can potentially sell to end users which I would say low $xx,xxx easy. Don't believe me, go and google "Jade Travel". :)

This is most definitely without a doubt a great domain , and I think the J is best for Jewish as in jdate.com , jlove.com etc..

There are many jewish organized trips/tours - ex: 1 week to Caribbean for jewish singles , tour of israel , etc... and this name fits in PERFECTLY.

low x,xxx
