What the hell is this all about?

(Pool) Bidding History for jumboloan.net

Bidder Max Bid Bid Date
56415 $1,020.00 2003-11-21 19:52:53
56415 $510.00 2003-11-21 19:48:14
56413 $60.00 2003-11-21 19:20:13

And the bidder # 56415 gets it for $70.!! Whatever happened to bidder # 56413?? The name was put up for auction on the 21st, the two high bids were made on the 21st, and then NOTHING ELSE HAPPENED!!

Geez, this game is nuts!!

YOur title says $2,020...

I the past I have heard NW has had some wierd bids so it could be a glitch or someone screwing around....

I don't think so and I have to agree.

William, my guess is:

56413's original bid was $60.00, then.....

56415 came in and bid it up (2nd bid) with a $510.00 bid, but with no other bids, the auction automatically incremented the winning bid to $70.00, with 510.00 being 56415's proxy bid. THEN....

Fearing someone would outbid him, 56415 came back and upped his proxy bid to the ridiculous sum of $1,020.00!!

Net result? 56415 won the domain for $70.00, or the smallest bid increment over the original bid! He was most likely the $$2020.00 bidder at NW as well.

Does this make sense?

I had this same situation at Pool.com on Keoghs.com. I was the first bidder at $60 and did not put in a 2nd bid. BuyDomains bid $3499 but got it for $70 ($10 above my bid). I could have bid more, but I did not think that I would end up with the name and did not bother to bid again. Looks like BD really wanted it, and I would never have outbid those guys.

Probably the same reason why it happened in this instance. I can't wait to see who got it! (BD maybe?)

OK so is this right?

domainIreallywantthatisworth500.com is dropping.

I bid $20k for the domain right off the bat, and if someone isnt willing to pa $20,100 for it, I get it for $60?!

Or is it like eBay where they can raise the bid/proxie in increments?
