Hi,
I'm a complete newbie to this whole name dropping process but I have an idea which may or may not be possible. I have hardly any technical knowledge but here goes:

Couldn't someone find a way to connect their computer to say 20 of their friends computers(not physically but through the net) so that all of them try to register the same top level domain name the day it drops?

I don't really know what it takes to beat snapnames but I am assuming you probably need at least a bunch of computers with different connections to the internet.

Tell me what you think.

I believe many people already have several dedicated servers just to register domains..

However, I could be wrong. Its been known to happen.

Aren't they starting to reject spammed applications because it screws up their system
