This is what I'd call "True Speculation".

Its hard to imagine that down the road whoever gets Games.Kids.US would not be interested in GamesKids.US...simply because of the "Dot" thingy between Games & Kids and the type-in phenomenon especially when we're talking of young (cute but careless) kids.

Here's my speculative list for Kids.US...

BrightKids.us
BooksKids.us
BoysKids.us
EmailKids.us
GirlsKids.us
GolfKids.us
HealthKids.us
HomeworkKids.us
PostersKids.us
LearnKids.us
ListenKids.us
MailKids.us
MeetKids.us
MusicKids.us
RadioKids.us
ReadKids.us
ShopKids.us
StoreKids.us
TalkKids.us
TeachKids.us
ToysKids.us
TvKids.us
WriteKids.us

Only time will tell if these couple of hundred $$ are down the drain or good investment!!

What do you think?

Re: Kids.US Speculation...Boom or Bust?

No bust please. It's a Kids' extension.

They are now and forever worth Zero (0)

To me its pretty certain that “Kids.us” is going to happen (or at least will be given a serious try) with full backing from US Government; the vote in both the House & Senate was unanimous and this was the third or fourth attempt of US congress to get something done in this area (establish a kid’s domain on the internet). I’d bet that some big players/businesses will move in, for good will if nothing else. When this happens, imagine what would be the most sought-after (third-level) names in this extension. And, when someone, especially a big player, manages to get a premium name such as Games.Kids.US, and get it developed big time, does it not make sense that they’d find it very beneficial (if not necessary) to also get the GameKids.US to avoid somebody else benefiting (potentially a lot) from “typo-ins” by setting up a simple website…..which won’t even have to conform to the special requirements/restrictions of Kids.US extension.

IMHO, most of those names don't have much value even if they were .com .

Actually, I do feel that with .com (GameKids.com) these names would be worthless.

I'm not going to even play the Kids.US registation game. I have no idea what will work there and what won't. I'm just happy it is coming because of the increased perception the sub-domain will give the base .US extension with kids across America. That vastly increased the chances of good .US names registered today being worthwhile a few years down the line.

You'd find that most of the "top most" combos are already gone!!
