Is there any value in the .la TLD, for Los Angeles related sites?

My personal opinion...ccTLD''s are only valuable in the context of their own countries.

I've sold .CA's, to Canadians, the fellow in another thread has some nice .AT generics, to sell to some Austrians.

In other words, if you can't find any Laotians who want your .LA's, they're useless. All the ccTLD "novelty" TLD's are IMHO, useless, they will never find traction outside their native country.

The .WS initiative to promote themselves as "Website" has failed miserably. Verisign's attempt to pimp out .BZ as an alternative to .BIZ will not only fail, its pathetic and almost embarassing to watch.

Consider all ccTLD's within the context of their native land only and you should be ok. Outside of that, you'd be better off
cherry picking .org's IMHO.

I have to agree, the .LA domains are as dead as the .WS domains. Sorry.
