Lets say, I have just bought a domain and find a buyer for that domain in a week or 10 days time...

is it legally Okay to sell that domain and transfer the same to the buyer ?!

I have heard that, it should atleast be 3 months old from the date of purchase by the original owner to transfer ownership ! is that true ??

Thanks for any input !

I have never heard of any laws that regulate this, just technical restrictions about transferring domains younger than 60 days old.

Anyone?

I have also only heard the part of transfering to another registrar is controlled.

Agreed; you can't transfer to a different registrar until 60 days have passed. The "lame" excuse for that is because of credit card disputes and 60 days being some standard length of time for chargebacks to be made. IE, can't transfer the name to a different registrar and then do a chargeback on the original charge.
