This I thought would always be the site I would own that has taken off. Here is some information about the site:
Revenue:
The site only displays ads to the guests. I make at most $3 / month. They are really hit and miss clicks.
Traffic:
If anyone here hosts with Site5 you know they have some terrible stats system right now. Here is some stats generated by a windows program:
http://www.firefoxforum.com/sale/livecollege/stats/
Included:
Every link at the top of the page with the icon has been custom created section of the site, by yours truely. The drinking games link is just a forum specific vBulletin style. The colleges were pulled off of another site. I thought that adding the links to the sites and such is just more content and might get more visitors. The drink recipies is a custom coded part of the site. I purchased the drinks recipie off of someone over a year ago. The college pictures area is a custom coded gallery by yet again me.
Most of all the custom sections, if not all, along with the forum itself uses a good number of mod_rewrite.
Some more information:
In the past 30 days there has been 15 new members without me doing anything. This is just search engine traffic really.
There have been 12 new threads and many more posts since then. The user activity is more than I even knew until I just checked. Just about 2-3 / day.
Search Engine Info:
Google PR: 4
Google Index Pages: 557
MSN Index Pages: 3,383
Yahoo Index Page: 15,600
#1 in both Yahoo and MSN for "College Forums"
#11 in Yahoo for "College Drinking Games" - This is a new one to me?
#4 in MSN for "College Drinking Games" - Also a new one.
That's just a few...
I'm not sure what else to say other than I won't let this one go for cheap. All you have to do is start to get some activity and you will have this site back up on it's feet. Many of the members simply just forgot about the site over the summer.
Current Offer: $400 - I won't let it go for less than $700.
vBulletin license will be included if the site is reaches a certain price. I have not yet decided on that price.
The more I see how much is indexed in search engines and how much potential there is the more I may just decide to keep the site. Make me an offer for above what I said before and I would cosider it.
