Looking for official sites about laws

I'm working on a project that goes over the laws in the USA and states and so far it's been easy finding the "official" sites for thie (usually a .gov or state.(state abbr).us based domain). I've been thinking of expanding it to include the relevant laws in other nations but it's a lot harder to find the official government based law sites.

Where can I find them? I'm mainly right now looking for Canada, European countries (EU and non-EU), China, Japan, Russia, Australia, and other more poulated countries as well as "touristy' countries like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Caribbean nations, etc..
