They're back.

These people are yet again running scripts asking if your domain is for sale, sometimes repeatedly, even when the WHOIS clearly says "this domain is for sale" and where to purchase it.

These people are total time wasters, they never buy anything.

No, the street address and phone are different. And I don't think he calls himself "Ashley" :)

There are a ton of lowballers, even people who consider themselves professionals.
I certainly don't mind finding a deal once in a while either.
The thing to watch out for are bogus offers at SEDO which tie your domain up for 15-30 days.

Actually that's us...and I'm not Ashley, its one of my employees..and its not a script, they are hand typed...and we bought $2 million in domains last year so I really wouldn't call us lowballers...give her a call if you'd like...she loves chatting on the phone...

If "Ashley" isn't a script, then "she" is pretty stupid.

She read "The Domain is for Sale", and had to ask if the domain is for sale. THREE TIMES.

In another case, she read "This Domain is for sale at TheNameStore.com" in the whois info. After reading this, she has to email me asking where she could find out the price and buy the domain name.

Not exactly the brightest bulb, eh?

I'll let her know your thoughts on her. I don't use scripts, never have.

WOW...

I'll sum up the last couple of hours of email and PM exchanges:

1) Rockefeller admits he is the person behind this, but he's not "Ashley" and she hand-types every email.

2) Others have received the IDENTICAL EMAILS and other recieved identical emails, yet Rockefeller contends it's "not a script".

3) Each of us have separately asked Ashley to make an offer on the domains "she" has written us about, and "she" does not respond at all (very unprofessional). Yet Rockefeller contends it's "not a script".

4) Rockefeller contends he "doesn't care what people think of me", or that spamming is hurting his reputation. This is particularly disturbing to hear from someone who is operating a domain escrow service, DNEscrow.com!

Based on the responses, I have to assume that the spamming will continue, and anyone using DNEscrow after learning this is asking for trouble... and a whole lot of spam.

I've been contacted by them but didn't consider it spam. If I had to guess, they contact owners of good soon to expire domains and ask for a rock-bottom price. If they don't like the price you won't hear back from them. I see nothing wrong with that. JMHO of course.

How is it spam when you state in your whois info that the domain name is for sale? I wasn't going to waste my time responding to you but I figured I would let you know that I own EscrowDNS.com, not DNescrow.com which is actually run by Afternic. What exactly are you trying to prove here? "Ashley" is a real god damn person man..get it through your head. How are my customers of EscrowDNS.com asking for trouble? They are two completely different companies.

Good point.

I don't know what's going on but I do know Rockefeller has been around here for years and I've never seen anything that would make me question his credibility.

Come on...

Who has not contacted another domain owner asking if they want to sell? Especially if it says it is for sale in the whois.

Then it wasn't from Ashley, because she doesn't buy domains. Your post has nothing to do with this thread.

You haven't read the posts in this thread.

The whois clearly shows how to buy the domain, no email is required. Do you have to email Adam Dicker several times before you buy a domain at Godaddy or Tdnam? Of course not.

Why should a person who abuses email and privacy be avoided as an ESCROW agent? Wow, if anyone can't figure that out really does deserve what they get.

You email me that you don't care about your reputation, yet you get upset with the truth comes out about your multiple names and practices. Very odd.

Seriously...what is your point?

If you had read the title and posts in the thread, you would seriously already know the point.

Dude...do you know how many names are for sale on sedo or afternic? Do you know how often I actually use sedo or afternic? I contact the whois first because they do not have to pay the auction house fee....

I just don't see where the major foul is here.

Ashley sent me an email inquiry about a name. And it was a request from the "contact Us" link on my site. I did some research and found out it was Justin (Rock). I mentioned that I knew Justin from DNF in the reply email. I told her what I would like for the domain and she replied she would pass it on to Justin....never heard back but nothing seemed out of line. She seemed to follow the proper channels in my case anyway....and she replied.

Yeah..one thing I can do is read.....not really talented in other areas...

I see the point now is a needless witch hunt. I respect you and your opinion but - Give it a rest.
