That's a lot of money. Maybe keep it for one day, then turn it in. If nobody claims it after an amount of time, I think it goes to the person who turned it in then? If that's the case then you did the right thing, and you were rewarded afterward. :yes:

Not long ago I found a Womans wallet with all her credit cards and over $300 in cash, I was able to contact her husband and gave it back, I did'nt want or expect anything in return but some appreciation, in which I got.

Now if I found a bag of money ear marked for the Clinton campaign, I would KEEP IT and donate all of it to the Republican party

The money was already tagged so I couldn't use it. Now if it was in a backpack or something without identity then maybe but still it wouldn't seem right to keep it. I'd say no.
