Affiliate Programs marketing a script

I am thinking of making my own affiliate programs. Or should I register with one of those companies that do this?

any suggestion / help?

My product is a link manager, although operational, there is still a lot to do to improve it. but it should become the best such system when ready. I think the retail price for such a system sould be about $60. I take 10 right now.. So the potential is good

I think I will need to make a license key look up for it, and am curious how other scripts do it. Like vBulletin. I am not using a commercial forum myself, I liked SMF and am trying that. Do you know how vBulletinn does this, are the scripts encrypted, or is the code viewable? How does it make license key lookup?

it all depends how you want to look at your business model...!! I think it should not be tough to do a few hundren $10 sales for your link exchange script.
