Ok so I dived into the world of .pro :undecided: Think with some time this may be a good one once the .pro extension gets a bit more news.

Google results advise 28,300,000 returns for Mechanic
Yahoo results advise 33,1000,000 returns for Mechanic

First thing that comes to mind is cars or autos (however you look at it) But really could be used to describe ANYONE who fixes on things. :ok:

Will see if could find a nice devloper if not then on the auction block it will go...

Any thoughts on this under the .pro extension???

Thanx

There is value in your name though I can't be too specific as I'm not well versed on recent sales. There have been a number of $XXX and well into $XXXX for the good keywords in .pro. I think you can ignore the reg fee comment.

Yes I did a search on previous sales and some are even high $xx.xxx I belive with time its very possible for a $x,xxx offer (which I will always take).

However this board is full of people who make very nice livings with selling domain names so when a fellow DF member says reg fee I liked to know the reason...for education purpose

I dont think its reg fee. .PRO has some good recent sales.

This domain is worth high $xxx resell. Low $xxxx - mid $xxxx for enduser.

Nattydomain,

For education purposes, not often, but sometimes there is an ulterior motive for using the term "reg fees".

Caveat venditor, as it were.

I sold a .pro for $500 yesterday. And there are many decent .pro available and makes more sense.

Hence, I would appraise that Mechanic.PRO has very limited resell value, colse to reg fee.

End user may pay you mid - high $xxx possible, but it's a tough task.

Good luck

those here that say that this .pro has a mid to high $$$ resell value will not make an offer here even though they are resellers..this domain has close to NO resell value...if you market it yourself to some end users or wait a long time, maybe someone is gonna make an offer, but just the name itself hardly has a value to REAL resellers

Ok....what I want to know is WHY? If I dont know the reason why then again I cant learn NOT to do this again. So i ask why just reg fee....if need be a PM on it is fine as well I just dont want to make the mistake again.

the question is really not why regfee the question is WHY more? Where would that value come from..certainly not from traffic..and mechanic is not even a high paying keyword..you have a tld here that is basically unknown to the common man... for example, the domain mechanicpro.net is still available, as well as mechanicspro.com ...most end users would rather reg either one of those....and since those are still available....it certainly has some value to an enduser if you market it yourself or if some mechanic finds it through some search at Sedo..but resellers would not really spend money on something like that..
..also, a good question to ask yourself before regging anything is: Would I buy this domain as a domain professional if it is being offered to me for $50 or more ..if no, dont even bother with it..
