The moderator (biggedon) closed

http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=157380

What an unwarranted interference in an open conversation. I saw no particular boundaries crossed in the post out of 86 posts. Three of them mentioned they would sell a domain. If that displeased the powers that be they could have edited three posts rather than closing the thread.

This was not a thread I started by the way!!!

UNBELIEVABLE:sick:

Edit. I agree. THis should be taken up with admins.

Rock, sometimes I am not sure if you're humoring or not so I'll take it that you're being serious.

Don is well-respected, an old member and a repeat moderator - he has put me back in line a few times and if there is any lack of voice of reason inside me, he definitely instills it back.

I believe he used his expert judgement when he closed that thread. Personally, I report such threads myself e.g. the other day someone abused the Sedo forum to showcase his auctions.

edit, I agree. This should be directed towards an admin.

Hi Acroplex,

That was me, and I did not intentionally 'abuse' the Sedo thread. You posted after my post pointing out it was wrong for the post to be there and I sent a PM asking Biggedon to see if I had broken the rules. He deleted my post immediately.

I dont think he's tough enough. Honestly any complaints about a mod should be directed toward the admin/Adam. Publicly working up a linch mob....

I agree, biggedon is i'm sure a nice enough Guy & he's polite enough.
However is a bit ott sometimes . Loves closing threads!
Have nothing but respect for the likes of Bob & Impact admin though. I tend to pm them if need a hand. Only tonight i've had to mail impactadmin as i have huge concerns over a member being a scammer. i have mailed another member to be wary too. will inform all if founded.
Just be on your guard & don't accept paypal over say couple hundred to be safe. Good policy anyway, which i'm adopting, unless with really trusted dnfers. Present company included! :wubpink:

I'd rather see admins close threads than wade through endless pages of posts that don't follow simple guidelines on sales protocol.

I was a bit shocked to see it closed just now, i liked the thread. I wasnt offended, nor did i notice any solicitation. Either way, Don is a great mod. I'll live with his decision without issue.

Our first long .ca thread got lost, now the second is closed. Where are we supposed to go to talk about .ca?

I agree with Biggie's decision..although not offensive, it was obviously turning into a sales thread, which should be done in the proper forum.

I've been following and posting in that thread myself. I agree with DropWizard here. It was a great and varied thread that did not deserve to be locked.

That thread is open... but THIS thread is closed, mod actions are to be discussed via PM.
