I have contacted moniker about 4 weeks ago to change the AName of one of my domain.

They said they had to change DNS to their servers and therefore I said it was ok to do that.

They haven't changed AName for the domain yet. I sent out many emails for them regarding this matter and they simply ignored my emails.

What is happening with Moniker's customer services?

Very bad service.

This is pretty easy to do yourself.

Is there some reason you can't do it?

Actually I'm very disappointed with Moniker...overall, it's just not the best service or care or support. So many excuses so many times, I see people saying get the Moniker Rep here to do it. THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER... the service and care should be there without having to come online starting threads and complaining first. You should not have to yell and scream and post a thread to get good service.

Agreed, but this is a common task. I was wondering why James couldn't do it.

I don't think I could change A records at the Moniker panel myself.

Why you "don;t think" and what do you think is the button "IP" good for ?

I have tried it via control panel and could not find it.

If you know how to do it, tell me.

is this what your looking for? took about a minute to find

If you would like to point your domain name to a specific IP Address Moniker.com offers an IP Manager Tool.

In order to use the Manage IP Tool, the DNS on the domain name must be:

NS1.Domainservice.com
NS2.Domainservice.com
NS3.DomainService.com
NS4.Domainservice.com

(If you have just changed the DNS, please allow 24 to 48 hours for the DNS to propagate or you will received an error in the IP Manager).

If you would like to point your domain name to a specific IP Address:

Login to your Moniker account.

When you are logged in, you will now be in the “My Account” area.

On the menu on the left, under the “Manage Domains” heading, click on “View Domains” or enter the domain name into the “Domain Search Box” provided in the center of this page.

Click the box next to the domain name(s) that you want to point to an IP Address.

Then click on the “IP link” (this link is located above the list of your domain names).

On the following page, click once on the domain name you wish to manage.

Under the Zone Records area, enter the IP in the box of the Host Name you wish to modify the IP for and then click "Edit".

On the next page choose the Host name you wish to use.

The following are the default A Records offered:

@ = origin

* = catch all

www = www.domain name

The current IP is displayed towards the right. Highlight the IP Address and change it to whatever IP Address you wish and then press "Save".

You should then see the changes you made reflected in the IP Settings area.

The changes will take effect within 24 to 48 hours.

Do this for all Host Names that you wish pointed to that IP Address.

james2002, is the change to the A panel you're trying to make needed for google ppc?

I'm just curious because I had some problems with that too.

Hey James2002 - I'm sorry however I find it hard to believe that you submitted a ticket 4 weeks ago and you still haven't had a reply to it.

If you're still in need of assistance, I ask that you email me directly at [email protected] with your case # and I'll be sure to have it looked at immediately.

Thanks!

Not so hard to believe at all. Others have also posted about it. I went well beyond 4 weeks with no response to an issue and when I finally got a reply recently it did not solve the issue in any way but still unresolved since May 21. Tech supt (outside contractor salesforce.com) has now incorrectly marked the ticket as closed.
