What are the most commonly used alternative words for forum?
is 'talk' second?
what about 'board'?
others?
Thanks!
nameslave said:It used to be BOARD from the good old BBS days. Some people are still using -bbs.com as part of their domain name. Don't know when TALK actually came into scene, perhaps it has something to do with WHT. Forum is more common used now. One of the down side is that the plural (forums) *might* be confusing, so some actually use both in order not to lose any traffic. But if you ask me, the singular sounds better, as in whatever economic forum.![]()
nicpal said:It is also quite commone to eliminate the suffix altogether and simply go with the .org extension. Ex. instead of PeralJamForum.com I opted to go with Pearljam.org...

So if com are taken, what is the next best to use if you want to use the same name.
.net
.org
.info
.ws
Any opinions?
Thanks
