SEO in the live auction feed: backlink data on every listing

Sweet Thursday Everyone,

Every name in the feed now shows how well it's linked on the web, using Common Crawl's web graph. There's nothing to set up; it's already on the feed.

New columns

• TSL (Top Sites Linked from): how many of the web's 100,000 most-linked sites link to the name. Hover the number to see which sites, e.g., "Linked from wikipedia.org, github.com…". On mobile, open a listing's details to see them.
• RD (Referring Domains): how many different sites link to it.
• LR (Link Rank): where the name ranks on the web by links. Lower is better.

Most expiring names have no links at all, so a dash just means "nothing links here". Only about 2% of names have a top-site link, so TSL is a quick way to find the ones worth a look.

New quick filters

• Well linked: linked from at least one top site, most linked first
• SEO: linked from 5 or more top sites
• Aged + linked: first archived in 2010 or earlier and still linked from 20 or more sites

Filters and sorting
In Filters → Domain data, there's a "Linked from top sites" checkbox, a referring domains range and a link rank limit. Click the TSL or RD header to sort most linked first, or choose "Most linked" from the sort menu on mobile.

Link figures update about once a month, when Common Crawl publishes a new release.
