Most popular forum running on a subdomain?

Does anyone know of any forums that are really popular that are running on subdomains?

for example: forumname.webhost.com

I am interested in finding out about these forums and how they get all there members and would like to learn a few things

I have a domain, the www. used to be forum as well as a subdomain....the subdomain is now a PR4, but the www. is PR0
