I was talking to Luc for the last 5 minutes and deciding whether to buy it or not, decided NOT.

The reason it is so good is overture for the real site mandtbank.com is about 19,000.

But still after analyzing decided to leave it.

Top bid was 20 k by the winner.

As you know, M and T bank is a large regional bank on the east coast.

And, I am sure it would have TM problems. Plus, they have deep pockets
and stockholders to protect. Such as their major stockholder being
Warren Buffett.

that's right on. i wouldn't have paid reg. fee for it. it's a hot potato.

Not worth more than a token amt due to the obvious TM issue. A Wipo case would in all likelihood give the name to the bank.

If the sale price is real, it's likely its buyer was not aware of the risk of him losing all that money due to the TM issue.

i advise that everyone spends some time reading thru recent UDRP decisions.

I wouldn't say it would be an open and shut case, but I agree it would be a tough one to defend. You can interpret mtbank as Montana bank, but it's certainly not worth 20K considering the risks involved.
