picked up MTVForum.com obviously has great use for the MTV culture and to discuss MTV entertainment.

Also grabbed CNNForum. Possibly discuss the censorship on CNN or single sided views?

I dont easily scare from TM names, assuming they are well developed and are freedom of speach related.
However, these seem to be a little cutting edge.
Unless of course, you strictly make them a free speach forum, in which case, they are worth a bit, but you cant advertise on them...
anyhow, I like them.

what do you mean that I couldn't advertise on them? I plan on developing MTVForum and having a section for the top MTV shows for discussion. I couldn't have ads on that site?

if you have revenue from the site, it will make it much easier for them to go after you for TM violations.

even if the site made it clear it was only a venue to discuss MTV programming and was not a sponsored MTV site?

I have seen people do it.
I would not take the chance.
But thats me.
I know they can't really touch you if you stick to freedoma of speach and do not make money.
otherwise, 'bad faith'..etc.... in regsitration and use can be used against you.

well, I guess I'll proceed and cross my fingers I never see a C&D letter.
