As some of you have watched it, Vlog .mobi went not too bad... What about Mobile Vlog, Mvlog in short?

I watch this keyword rather closely, as my sig might indicate, and feel like there might be long-term potential for your domain. However, even "vlog" is still in its infancy and not widely recognized. By adding the "m" you're talking about a brand new term variation that isn't really being used yet online at all for any mobile web applications(that I could find... sorry if incorrect). It is used in mathematics, however, so perhaps has some value in relation to that.

Thanks guys. Am i the only one who can see the M related to Mobile in this name? Sometimes you feel like you believe in something that's finally not so obvious... I know you have this feeling from time to time! :eyebrows:

I still have that feeling from time to time, just not as often as I did when I got started.;)

I don't think anyone feels that your domain sucks, it's just that it's not yet accepted/widely-used terminology. Until then, like any new term, it will have very limited value to others.

How will that change? Well, either you will get lucky and someone will happen to start using "mvlog" in the way you propose, or YOU will start banging the "mvlog" drum in an effort to get others using it.

In the world of tech-speak, this happens all the time. Blogging, using the term in your various sigs, and talking about your ideas on as many forums as possible are 3 ways you might go about it.

Although I haven't been on this board for very long, I've been in this hobby/business for a few years. I have MANY domains that are purely speculative. As a former farm-boy, I liken this to buying the cheap & undeveloped land way outside of town, and then hoping that they'll want to build the mall there someday. Usually, you'll just scrape by and have to pay property taxes ( think reg fees ) but sometimes you hit pay-dirt.

Anyway, that' my 2 cents' worth.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot TcDa, nice advice!
I just wanted to underline that sometimes the "good idea" is only in one guy mind, though we just try to understand the needs for the domain buyer...
