A Zero. You should try to buy the dotcom....the owner isn't using it for anything. The worst thing you could do is make aLocal.net into a good site without having the dotcom. A name like cars.net, or movies.net....you could develop without being sick about helping the dotcom owner, but no one is ever going to type in aLocal.net without you marketing the site. If you get the dotcom the .net will at least be protection from someone else starting a similar site. Buy the dotcom, and if he doesn't want to sell, then try to sell him the .net for a few bucks and be done with it.

I agree that i shouldnt develop this by itself .. I'll probably hold on to it and see if i can either get the .com reasonably priced or wait for the .com to be developed before i do anything with mine...
