This time its mine for sure (you hear that MattyP?) :laugh:
How much value you think its got? It gets quite a few thousand searches on overture.
Could possibly be made into a site for ring tones, if I don't get any offers I'll probaby develop it into a site for ring tones (easy money).

Thanks.

Not a bad name, but don't forget the overture searches in this instance would be mainly for the more common term 'phone tones'.

A good way to differentiate between the singular and plural of a word or word in a phrase is to use Google's AdWords tool at

https://adwords.google.com/AdWords/Welcome.html

After reaching this page hit 'create and preview ads', on the next page 'continue' down the bottom.

In the 'exact query' box I entered, on separate lines:
phone tone
phone tones
ring tone
ring tones

and you'll see the relative results showing how many times a word or phrase is searched for at Google on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

But I agree with you that ring tones is good business and wish you luck develping a website.

Fizz - Thanks for that advice! I'll definitely use that technique whenever I check out domains. But, any appraisals?

Sorry insomnia - I can't even appraise my own names let alone anyone else's, LOL

Off topic, but I do have a failsafe appraisal method for my own names:
(a) let the name expire and delete;
(b) if BuyDomains picks it up, it was worth more than reg fee;
(c) If BD sells it soon after for $$, kick myself, down another beer, and proceed to scratch head over whether to renew another name;
(d) return to (a)

fizz--

you win the kewpie doll for best post of the week.

i'm still laughing.

lol, ok, any actual Appraisals ? Please ?

insomnia ... the problem with the .net is it will always be the poor cousin to the .com version. As you promote more, the .com gains. Plus it hurts that you have the singular version. G/L

alright, but any numbers ?

Insomnia, I have TelephoneTones.com. Interested ?

Hey, stop hijacking this thread, duh.:eek:

phonetone.com is worth a bundle as it is really a phenomenon with mobile phone users looking to make their phones unique, phonetone.net probably $500+
