Well, my neighbor foreclosed his house, weird thing he had parties every weekend at his house, I guess that was from not paying any rent for the 6 months before leaving the property...

:/ I'm sorry to hear that. In addition to people foreclosing there is also a wave of people who cannot even get into a house despite having a good down payment, good jobs with good rental history. The industry is on tight lockdown.

That sucks but at least he had enough good times while he was there it sounds like. Seriously though, I can't imagine getting to that point it must be awful and doesn't happen over night so he must not of had any options.

We've had 2 or 3 units in our community (out of 29 units) get forclosed on in the past year. It sucks in many ways.

New Mc plan is to adjust the loan to the current market price of the house.
-- Not sure how it works or will it benefit the home owners.

It is not going to help me. (I paid most of the loan)

Foreclosed properties bring home values in the neighborhood further down.

That is very true and ends up hurting all of us in the long run as home owners.

I've been looking for something like this. Thank you!

Horrible.

With all the layoffs happening and coming.

Wachovia announced big layoffs here. RJ Reynolds is having another round of layoffs.

I am so glad that I chose to abandon my advertising career in the late 80's and get in to healthcare/medicine.

But I don't think the healthcare/medical industry is immune from this. Seems to be a hiring freeze at the moment with every position vacated now going before a review board to determine if it needs to be filled or not.

If it was not for the medical community and two massive hospitals here this area would have nothing.

Indeed, Zillow.com is a little known wonder in the hands of homeowners or future homeowners. It's amazing the way it structures information. A true web 2.0 killer app!

Too bad my neighborhood doesn't seem to be on there. :(
