What is everyones opinion on .name domains?

They just aren't very popular. For a personal site it is good, but you can not sell it. I think you shouldn't go for the .name.... unless you can manage to find a good name to deal with, which i think is hard...

Perhaps they could be good for personal use (to secure your own name) but that's it. I have my own name .com .net .org otherwise I might consider .name. IMO it would be a mistake to invest in that ext if you are looking to a resale.

i have RARE.name and after i acquire it..i have 7 offers oredi.. secure offer at $300 and another possible one in nego $500
.name is nota popular domain.. but there are possible high sales on this so dun be despair

i tot no good of .name either until i got rare.name.. changes my perception in it

If you find something that is appropriate to the extension, then by all means snatch it up. It has value.

I have several top keyword .names and they all get good traffic. Appropriateness to the ext is key. If you think domains or babies you should be good.
