When buying a domain at namejet does it retain the original whois registration date ?

With my experience, the age will only carry over if picked up from the "Pre-Release" list.

But when buying off the "Pending Deletion" list, reg date is reset.

Pending deletion list does not even warrant a catch as it's a free for all registrars (and the domain has a fresh date of creation). The pre-release list domains retain their original creation date.
