Names Vanished

Is it just my imagination or do Godaddy remove a name from your account about a month before it actually expires?

I noticed one of my names on their auction site just as I received an email to say that it had been cancelled. In that email they invited me to respond if the cancellation was an error. I did respond with my credit card last four digits and I agreed to pay the $80. However NO Reply 3 days later. :greenconfused:
