I backordered a low quality typo name through GoDaddy and Namewinner, and neither one won it. I checked the whois, and it was registered through Dotster, MANUALLY....

i ended up manually registering a domain i had back ordered with GD a few months ago, never going to use them again.

it is best to do a drop catch using a backorder product from the registrar the domain is currently under, otherwise, they are all hit and miss, if the domain is with gd and you do a back order or bid in tdnam, if the original registrant lets the domain expire past day 42, you get it depending on whether your backorder or bid was the highest price in the auction

That's not true, because I did have the backorder through Godaddy, where it was registered. Once a name drops, it's available for anyone to register, regardless of the registrar they use...

The only chance namewinner have with backorders is if the name hed been regged with any of their partners Dotster etc, otherwise no chance!
