I am looking for an appraisal for my personal site http://www.brycewilson.net

The average unique visitors for six months is:
50,000 unique

The current alexa traffic rank is:
154,480

The google PR is:
5 - 1 time it was 6

There are currently 1,145 videos in a database that has the videos name, description, and number of times viewed.

The current ad networks used are Fastclick, Casale, and Buds.

Current income from advertising runs around $400 a month.

The site runs on a total control server from the planet with 2 TBs of bandwidth and on a good month will use 1.5-1.7 TBs.

The server cost is $270

The design for the site except for the movie pages is HTML 4.01 Strict and CSS Strict.

The movie pages are not strict, but I am working on that.

The current DB Design and coding cost around $450 and the design cost $150.

Advertising is sold on the site per impression and brings in about $150 a month and could bring in a lot more.

The site has been online since August of 03.

About 8.5% of visitors add the site to their favorites, so about 4,000 people a month.

I am just curious about how much the site is worth...

I got confused on these contradicting statements:

"Current income from advertising runs around $400 a month.

Advertising is sold on the site per impression and brings in about $150 a month and could bring in a lot more."

It is receiving good traffic as you mentioned, I would appraise at 36 times your monthly income. good luck!

sorry about that, i wrote the first part and then remembered the advertising sold on the site. The current monthly income is 400 from third party adverts and 150 from adverts sold on the site so a total of 550. The 150 fluctuates and could be less or more from month to month.

Bryce, from the sounds of things it is a very nice site ... I havent looked at it just yet cuz im at work but from what you say I would appraise at 25 to 30k.

Good luck!

I think that is way too much. I would say around maybe $10k

50,000 Uniques in 6 months? Thats not alot to be honest... thats not even 1000 uniques per day. I would say $2k. Your averaging about 300 uniques per day.

the average for the six months is 50,000 uniques each month. One month was 70K, another was 43k. Each month averages to about 50,000 uniques...not total.

AH ok in that case then I will say $5k

let's go by the income formula

500 * 12 = 6'000

More advertising is possible, so I'll say $7,500 . Good luck with it.

lol.. I doubt anyone would sell their own website making atleast $600 a month or so for anything less than 10k. Or would you?

I don't think too many people would be interested in buying somebody else's name, unless they were famous. Especially a .net.

It is a good site, making nice money. $3-5k would be a very suitable sale price, and should not be turned down.

If all else fails, try posting it for sale here. You would not be obligated to sell it, and you will see what the pro's think it is worth. They WILL tell you :-)

Yes, I agree the domain is bad ... but if his numbers are accurate than I think it is worth more. Just my two cents though
