There is a domain available which has 610,000 results containing the full domain+extension (one word) on google...however it has no overture w/ extension.

All of the 610,000 instances are in text form, not link, but I'm curious if these will still contribute towards the PR if I develop? I know this is an unusual question but any help would be appreciated

In this case, I would defer more toward the overture. The "." sometimes is disregarded in websearches. For instance, a websearch for "oddball.info" yields mostly results that disregard the dot.

Also, the issue happens often in situations where you have an active site at a .com.tld site. This is not a real site, but suppose that the following had an active site: domainrandom.com.au. If you did a search for "domainrandom.com" it would get lots of results, but no overture. I doubt you will get a PR boost if this is the case.

Good luck.
