It's an old word meaning Japan.

BINGO!

So I've explain that it was the alias of Japan.

I think that some of the people who are more than 35 years old (especially living in Asia) knows that !

Fusang was a legendary Tree in Ancient Chinese Documents. It is related to some old concept of the universe.
In legend, there's a nation to the east of China full of these kind of trees, so Chinese call that island "Fusang". Later it became the alias of Japan since Japan was the only known country to the east in the ocean at that time.
