Hi,
I am starting a thread to list how much money each of us have lost in this hobby.

Mine : Around $2000

(Most of it to register.com in my initial days)

Well, let me see... In the last 6 years since I started buying/selling domains, I have spent about $5,000 in domain registration fees for all my domains combined.

I have made back maybe double that, so I have come out a bit ahead in this hobby I really enjoy.

Cheers!

I refuse to count those crazy 2-year registrations at NSI that cost me $70 a piece.

Fortunately, I discovered gandi.net (12 Euros/year) soon after the breakup of the NSI registrar monopoly and long before the eNom resellers blew the roof off renewal rates.

This isn't a hobby for me - my costs are a fraction of my income from sales/traffic conversion.

Would you please let us know how to manage that?
Thanks,

Its no secret formula, just pick names people either want to own or type in.
