Domains that are very short have a lot more value. Apparently ICANN does allow 1 character domains, e.g. Z.com is run by Nissan. I am not sure if there are other 1-char domains in use, perhaps someone can post in this thread a list.

However, I heard a rumor that ICANN might go even shorter, to domains of zero length. Then you dont have to type anything at all. This can save time for people, so you will probably get a LOT more traffic. I would like to join the pre-signup for this. So that clearly means the best domain possible, ever, would be:
.com
Does anyone know when this pre-signup will start? I want .com to be my personal web address.

Yes, I would share it.

Since you took .com I'll take .org, .net, and .us (I won't be to greedy). :)

You need to prepare 100K to 500K for application, no guarantee of course. Are you willing to take that loss?

I don't.
