Hello and Welcome to DNForum!
Some of you may be domain veterans but new to DNF, and some may be new to the whole game. The suggestions in this thread are to help you get started and have a smooth and (hopefully) profitable experience!
1) Consider placing a self-introduction post in this forum. Tell us a little about you, and it will break the ice. You will be surprised by the warm welcome you will receive from your fellow Domainers!
2) Spend some time READING various forums! Before you post elsewhere, catch the flavor and style of this place. It will help you a lot!
3) Feel free to express yourself, ask questions and be very active. But please, try to be polite, professional and literate! Nothing will lose you respect faster than nasty, amateurish or plain silly posting. Check your spelling and grammar.
4) We take buying and selling domains VERY SERIOUSLY around here! If you win a bid SETTLE UP IMMEDIATELY!! If you put a domain up for sale, monitor your post and respond to the people who are responding to you!
5) Never post a domain for sale unless you have complete control over it, and the ability to transfer ownership. Fraud and/or deceptive practices are treated harshly!
6) Many people use Paypal at DNF. Make sure you have a clean account, and there's money available for closing sales. "If you don't got the $$$, don't bid!"
7) Use the Auction! There are some INCREDIBLE BARGAINS available there!
8) If you need help, have a problem, or otherwise require assistance- PM one of the mods! We are here to help you in any way we can!
9)Develop a good reputation (always do business 100% professionally)!
10)Guard your reputation!
11)Protect your reputation!
