PC/windows does this search currently, why would someone pay for it?

Not having a go, just genuinely curious why you think they would (selling points).

If you can answer this effectively, it will be of value.

For those who use large numbers of pdf's on a daily basis, the windows search takes to long. I currently have 346 pdf's on my system. When I'm looking for one using a term within the pdf, the windows search takes 22 minutes to complete the search (have used it over and over...drives me nuts). With pdfhunter, it builds (and updates weekly) all pdf's on your system. So I can open the program, type in my term, and it takes about 2 seconds to complete the search.

also, i like to preview the pdf so I dont have to open and close a half dozen to find the specific pdf.

hope thats helpful!

Thats fair enough.

I have around 200 pdf on my pc, and the search takes less than 2 secs/.

I think that this software may only be useful as a free download packaged with something else, it may be expensive to advertise/get ROI. Or depending on your delivery and the software use it self - advertising/links embedded with free use license/trial, then upgrade to a no ad version for $19.95.
Do you have that currently?

2 seconds for a word search (not title or pdf) within 200 pdf's on your pc? you must be running quite a system! I have a fairly new (1 year) dell with a gig of ram and a 160 gig harddrive...and for a word search WITHIN a pdf it takes all of 15-25 minutes in windows depending on the specifics of the search.

there is a temporary license version (no ads) and I'll pass that to the buyer with about 900 licenses if they want it. I didnt like the temp system so I wasnt going to offer it but it is of no use to me. apart from that, you have the source and can make it shareware, freeware, whatever you want.
