If i buy domains with godaddy and point the nameservers so i can host my site with that domain elsewhere, once the nameservers are changed is the domain now hosted with the hosting company or is it still hosted with godaddy?

Thanks alot

Your host and registrar can be two different companies.

Your hosting company is who you pay to host your sites. The registrar (GoDaddy) is where you keep your domains.

When you change the DNS on the domains, they stay with the registrar but when people type in the domain they go to where the site is hosted (the hosting company).

Ah thanks, just what i needed to know, Thanks Alot.
