Interesting article shows major drop in Newsprint Ad spending.

Another interesting article, the amount spent on digital music and eBooks bought from mobile phones is now close to the monthly spend on equivalent physical goods - CDs and paperbacks, in the US.

I also read another article about a major french newspaper in Montreal planning to go completely digital within a few years, and thinking about giving away free ereaders with a subscription. Kind of makes sense, like when you get a free cellphone with a two or three year phone subscription.

I still like to read the Globe & Mail Business section on Saturday, the only newspaper I buy during the week. Costs over $3 now though!
