That makes sense Mole - I thought they did as it is authorized prior to completing the transaction -Originally posted by DNMole
Yes, I can confirm they do charge your card first for every pre-order you make. I've got tons of what you see below reflecting on my card account with I can monitor in real time via online banking.

All the "pay for play" services have a serious flaw in them in my opinion. That "fraud bids" and "declined credit" can be waiting on the otherside of every transaction in their system is an eponential nightmare given that upwards of 18,000-20,000 (or more names) drop everyday (how many fraud/credit issues can they realistically handle in a business day?) They can try to cut down on it, but ultimately it is the business model itself that brings that inherent risk with it. It's a great system when its working, but like open sockets on a Windows XP box, it is pinned on the likelihood of an underwelming percentage of badwill and customer problems.Originally posted by Duke
Several of us had that same problem at Pool and aired it in a thread a few weeks ago Steve. Guess they never fixed it nor have any interest in doing so.
You would think "pre-orders" would not charge unless successful. As opposed to WLS, these are "pre-orders" for WLS. The last .US landrush I think had an explicit decree somewhere that NO legitimate "pre-orders" were allowed to *charge* customers for that service. You'd think this would be consistant with that.Originally posted by NexSite
I bought NRR two days ago, not charged yet. Said it wouldn't be charged unless it was successful.
Clemzonguy - It appears that we were charged - I will ask our accounting dept. Monday and post what they tell me - They see the daily charges on the cards and I do not - Maybe someone else can say for sure prior to that? Steve
I am sure you would not be the first call the SEC has recieved on the WLS - Try the FTC as well - Bet they have had a few hundred reports, to date, on this matter. Good Luck - SteveOriginally posted by clemzonguy
I think what the confusion over is their deceptive wording to get people to order thinking they will have more security with them. How is having a pre-wls order a security? Maybe I should call the SEC on this one. (i wish) :-D
