they are only worth something, to those who don't know better.
there are always some exceptions, but basically there is no current "demand" for them.
in theory, you could possibly drive up demand and reseller value if you went an registered every one that is available and bought those that dropped as well.
as currently there is a "flip" market going for 3 character .net, i imagine soon it will filter down to .org as well.
to sum it up, no there is no current demand, but there is potential based on history.
it depends on how long you can wait for returns on investments.
you could certainly buy cheap now and most likely get the "cream of the crop", if harvest ever comes....
