No DNS CHANGE for .mobi until JAN '07 !!

I was have trouble changing my dns yesterday and today with .mobi
First reply was backed-up because of landrush
ok so I wait 24 hours
then again emailed about trouble
and got this

.mobi domain names, there is a 60 day rule with respect to changing the

There are names at pool .com for sale and people at other forums have expressed no trouble changing DNS at other Domain Registrars.

So what's up?

No it is a Moniker problem, I reged PublicTransport.mobi and Preschools.mobi at godaddy and it only took an hour or two for the dns to change to sedo op2:

And to go ahead and ask this for when Monte shows up....

The PPC page that Moniker's .mobi pages points to, "Is that generated revenue credited to the domain's owner?"

Should we add it to our TrafficClub account to collect that?
Any info about this would be helpful too.

Off topic from DNS, but Moniker's funding option was down yesterday. Is that working again?
I emailed and called, even reported what was then called, "Our third unique error" when my CC Authorization code didn not match.

Yes - we are working with the .mobi registry on dns and contact changes. there are certain items that cannot be modified right now but will in a few days.

We are working with them on this and trying to find out the cause.

Relax and trust Monte who has just spoken above that something is being done.

I did my GD DNS changes instantly. Before the email confirming my buy had even showed up in my box! Odd that Moniker is having that issue. Must be a glitch, they are usually just as fast.

I got an email update and my DNS has been Changed by the support team at Moniker

Hello,

We have successfully updated your DNS.

Please be advised that .mobi domains are a recent addition to our
system. Certain classifications of .mobi domains have restrictions on
DNS. To clarify, domain names registered under the Sunrise period cannot
update DNS until after Jan 2007.
Landrush domains do not have these restrictions.

We sincerely apologize as we were under the impression that your domain
name fell under the former category.
This was the reason for the confusing response.

As stated, your DNS has now been updated as requested. Please let us
know if you need anything else.

Now I'm off to try and fund my Moniker account, hope that is fixed so I can move other domains (non-.mobi) over there

This is a .mobi restriction, not a Moniker restriction. This is and has been known for months now.

I also regged a .mobi domain and change the DNS from Godaddy to Sedo and it is working perfectly
