For Sale No More .ORG Drops?

When PIR took over the .ORG registry it was announced that they would suspend drops for 3-4 months while they worked out the permanent procedure they would follow for handling expired names. It looks like that no-drop period has started. I am seeing only 15 drops in the last 24 hours (as opposed to the hundreds we normally see).

They kept dropping while .com and .net drops were suspended with Verisign's RGP move. Looks like they may have waited until that was done before starting their own moratorium. Glad I grabbed some great .ORGs while they were the only game in town. I'm going to miss them! Anyone know for sure if that is what is going on now?

hmmm NOT... other than that print that they want to stop .org drops until they introduce new system for drops or something...

yes duke since last saturday no more org drops (just a few) - i was told there is no info yet abt how the system will work as of now..

pitty it was lovely as loads dropped and even ultimate search did not know most of them in advance

Yes, I hate to see them stop - I got some real winners the past few weeks! I also have a load on my buy list that now will not drop for months.:sad:

About 8-10 do seem to be dropping each day, the kind of trickle we saw from com and net while Verisign was on their RGP hiatus. Probably names with really screwed up registrations that they are just getting off the books.

Duke, Its only been dropping a handful for the last few days now so i think its more than likly a dry spell, the begining of the new procedure plans.
