Hi

I received this note from Snapnames, any help on what it means is appreciated?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SnapNames has detected a change in the registration data
for the domain name

We are continually monitoring the following data stores
where registration data is kept:

Root Name Servers: Domain names and their associated IP
addresses are kept here. When you enter an address, such as
www.SnapNames.com, the name servers are responsible for
directing your browser to the appropriate server.

Registries: The registries for the various TLD's (Top Level
Domains such as ".com") are responsible for creating the
"zone files" (master lists of active names) which are sent
to the name servers.

Means they've detected a change. Either someone snapped it or someone transferred it.

Would it be me that snapped it, or would snapnames of notified me of the snap? First time snap user...

Thanks

Thanks

If you own the Snapname on the name, and it's been snapped, nobody else using Snapnames can have snapped it.

Say that out loud, five times in quick succession. ;)

Daniel,

Those alerts are not always as clear as they could be. Send an email to support@snapnames with your particulars and they will be able to tell you what is going on.

best,

Usually in those emails it will show you the old Whois information, and the new information, so you can see what changed. Sometimes the changes make no sense at all.

yes, it means the whois information was changed.

this is due to
- registrant changed their own info
- registrar changed something on their site
- transfer
- name server has a new IP
- snapname's error
- etc...

Sounds like it's dropped and been grabbed elsewhere, if the above is the case. What's the new registrar?
