Note: Any post not conforming to these rules will be deleted!
This section is quickly filling up with low to no traffic names. This
is because one of the requirements is Overture (Min 30), which
in many cases does not generate any traffic at all.
A few users complained about purchasing traffic names here,
which did not receive any traffic at all. Also, a few sellers are
registering many Ovt domains and quickly reselling them here,
not knowing if they actually have any traffic or not (most
of which have no traffic).
So, new rule. We kindly ask all new sellers to post TRAFFIC STATS
with their domain. Also, if the traffic stats indicate that the domain is
receiving less than 30 unique hits per day, it may not be posted in this
section.
--- Update 2/18/2005
Traffic STATS means a SCREENSHOT or a LINK to actual traffic
stats. For example, if you are using DomainSponsor or any other
PPC sponsor a screenshot would be required (link to a screenshot)
since you would not want to give out your password.
But if your domain is locally hosted, then you only need to post a
link to your stats page (ex: webalizer, etc), or you may take a
screenshot of the vital stats information (unique visitors and
hits).
----- End Update
The traffic stats should be standard server traffic stats, and not custom
Traffic stats.
This rule will ensure that:
1. The domains posted here actually receive traffic.
2. Sellers feel safe bidding on something they know will bring in traffic.
3. More trust between the buyer-seller.
4. Sellers do not register useless OVT domains just to dump them here.
5. There will be more quality names and less garbage.
Although traffic stats can be spiked just as easily as overture,
we are hoping that people won't sink to that level of dishonesty.
Thanks!
