Sad, very sad and outright disrespectful. These are the types of people that give domainers a bad name. I think it's worse than just squatting the name. Guess it's all about money when it comes down to it.

Was it recently changed or something? No idea why he would kill himself, he was only supposed to kill Bill!

What's more embarrassing - someone using your name domain to direct to adult sites, or throttling yourself to death in a hotel wardrobe for sexual kicks?

Go Adam! Go get them!! :)

But to the OP - it is sad when crap like this happens (and Tia's post, too).

Donations?

Now that's tacky, you would think they would at least say they would be given to a charity. Whats worse, squatting on a name and sending it to porn or cashing in on a death like that?

Wonder how long it took before that option went up, he came from a family of successful actors, only stayed in the best Hotels etc.. they dont need any money.

As for Godaddy and taking action, this would be quite interesting, not saying the owner isnt using it wrong but would be VERY suprised if GD did something that I havent heard another registrar do and where is the line going to be drawn? This is a dangerous move imo and not one that would profit GD at all.

Maybe someone thinks YOU are abusing a name and GD acts as judge/jury and executioner, be careful what you wish for!

PS that domainer is not a nobody either, they have a nice generic/tm/typo portfolio.

I'm glad it's not just me. It doesn't even say what the money is used for. I hope it isn't a case of crappy relatives wanting to cash in.

I am on it now, thanks for the info.

-=DCG=-

As much as I find this totally disgusting on a personal level I don't think (Shouldn't) be a registrars responsibly to police usage.

I wouldn't want my names registered with a registrar that does, what's the GD line on this? I know Enom does on occasion, Moniker doesn't, as far as I am aware.

Worrying times when a registrar starts acting as judge, jury and executioner, worrying times indeed.

Let's not forget this domain was registered in 1999 and has probably been pointing to that site for ages. I'm not condoning his usage, just in case anyone thinks I am. Just wondering if there would be such outcry if it wasn't for recent (tragic) events?

I hate how it's being used, but, I agree.

Whoa...for "sexual kicks"? I didn't hear that. I read it was a suicide, despite his agent saying it was natural causes...

His other "official" site is david-carradine.com.

What I read said he was found by a maid in a closet, naked, with a cord round his neck and other parts of his body - sounds like he did a Michael Hutchence.
