Some PPC outlets are just lower than dirt.

This particular shower cannot even display non-Latin characters on their sales screens, so no Chinese Generics. But Phishing domains for instantly recognisable TM infringements are no impediment to their bottom line.

Hi Dobber Duck
Thank you for drawing the TM infringement to forum's attention

Is your "partner id", in the sedo link that you have provided, the same as an affilaite id that pays a commission on sales?

Now that is a slanderous remark.

I am know not to be a big fan of Latin IDN per se. I certainly do not hold any TM infringing domains in Latin, indeed, I hold very few a they are all certainly 100% Generic.

We believe in running a whiter than white portfolio. We have disposed of our Porn holdings, and certainly do not get involved intentionally in TM Infringements, Typos or otherwise.

I aplogize to you if I have slandered you unintentionally
Maybe someone else can answer my question if you are unable to

Perhaps I misunderstood your question. If so it is me that owes an apology.

I assumed probably incorrectly that somehow I was in some way linked to this sales thread. Having I think assured everyone that I am not perhaps we should refocus on why Sedo is happy to promote such blatant TM infringements its public auctions, rather than focusing on developing global markets for legitimate domains that have real end user value.

Why is it still not able or willing to promote domains in Asian, Arabic or Cyrillic scripts? To me it smack of market manipulation, but perhaps there is another motive? Can anyone put forward a reasonably innocent explaination for their behaviour?

SEDO should know better at this point, having been called on the carpet numerous times for allowing the sale of phishing domains etc. This one is clearly a blatent TM infringement and should also not be allowed to be listed for sale. They are a much better organization than to allow this BS. People see these getting bids and just repeat the process.

SEDO should have a firm policy that all IDNs sold should be of 1 script or language, unless a commonly used (generally Latin) term is attached that makes sense and is indeed used in the language or commerce.
ie. 北京tv.com - BeijingTV.com. The term "TV" being a bit of a worldwide transliteral and as you can see on link below it is used this way in China.

doesn't makes since to protest about something, while promoting it at the same time.

@ rubber duck

what is "We believe in running a whiter than white portfolio"?

is this another racial term being used in the domain world, to describe one's portfolio?

not insinuating anything about you personally, just questioning the statement.

Thanks

What a douche duck.

Please don't give me that PC Bullshit.

You know as well as I do that remark wasn't never intended to have racial connotations. The remark clearly derives from bestowing a sense of purity but is much more associated with getting cotton that has been processed into textiles white. Have you never seen a washing powder commercial?

I am also not going to start go around trying to pretend people all have the same colour skin. True respect is about respecting racial and cultural differences not pretending they don't exist.

And perhaps whilst we are on, perhaps somebody can explain to me why when China has been consistently critisized by the US over their treatment of the disabled, which frankly in a less developed country you might expect to be inferior, the Chinese para-olympians are taking the US to the cleaners, with twice as many medals?

Seems to me that this could well be an example of the pot calling the kettle black. For the Chinese to have achieved this they must have poured a lot of investment into sport for the disabled from way way back. They have not just wheeled these people out of broom cupboards.

I am proud to say that the British team is clearly well funded and supported and doing very well. Perhaps a few other countries should look to their underperformance in this respect, because in my view it is a measure, if a little crude, of their social development.

i think your quote answers the question quite clearly

it's not about being PC but about perpetuating... "The remark clearly derives from bestowing a sense of purity but is much more associated with getting cotton that has been processed into textiles white."

i know you don't really understand what that means, but you said it anyway

and that says a lot to me.

That is totally sick.

80% percent of my portfolio is aimed at markets that could not in any shape or form be described as white.

Frankly, I never even thought of it in those terms. Why should I? These investments are purely economic in sense, but it is clear that Americans have done everything in their power to obstruct the development of Internationalised Domain names. That is the most basic fundamental discrimination that is being perpetrated on the internet. People have been intentionally hampered at all levels, including by a lot of prominent domainers.

Go and have a go at some real issues rather than just going through the dictionary crossing out perfectly legitimate words that you have taken a dislike to.

I have worked in the Third World. I have always tried to persuade people to have pride in their racial and cultural origins. These accusations are totally absurd.
