I had an offer for a domain name I own called LocalFreecycle.com.

This is becoming popular due to all the environmentally green efforts so I am having a hard time determining what its worth and if I should hold onto it for another year or so?

Can you guys and gals please help me out with your appraisals? THX!

If you are unfamiliar with FreeCycle, please see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freecycle_Network

Here is a summary:
The Freecycle Network (often abbreviated TFN) is non-profit organization registered in the state of Arizona, USA, that organizes a worldwide network of "gifting" groups, aiming to divert reusable goods from landfill. It provides a worldwide online registry, and coordinates the creation of local groups and forums for individuals and non-profits to offer and receive free items for reuse or recycling, promoting gift economics as a motivating cultural outlook. "Changing the world one gift at a time" is The Freecycle Network's official tagline.

I think its great that you actully got an offer. IMO any offer above $300 is worth taking. The domain is very long and there are a good number of alternatives.

Keep in mind that in the context of this topic, freecycle is considered one word. The offer I got was mid-to-high $xx.

Thanks for your input. Anyone else?

the last time I checked the number of words had nothing to do with the number of letters. If the offer is from those people you referred to, there are indeed lots of alternative names, some are even unregged such as theFreecycle.org, which actually makes sense for an org like this. This being said I agree that it will be hard to get more than low to mid $$$. I am guessing the first offer was the minimum allowed by Sedo. Just counter with 500-700 and see what they say. Its not worth to sell it for $60.

Personally i wouldn't sell any domain for that small amount unless i was just unloading something i didn't want.
