How can it be a deal just by posting "sold?" This is an offer forum, not fixed price. The $10k is a "Starting Price(range)" not a BIN. Unless the buyer made a deal with the seller off this thread, it could still be for sale.

If thinking to sell to an end user, this can easily go for $XXX,XXX or $X,XXX,XXX . I wish I had $10k to purchase this congrats again!

This name is a little bit misleading. The much better name would be onlinedating.com, as its Overture w/ext is 277. compared to 35 for InternetDating.com.

So, this name really isn't a sky is the limit name. However, when you consider the fact that most of Online Dating involves paid subscriptions I can see the buyer making a good profit with some Affiliate Links.

It's kinda like if someone asks: "How much do you want for that URL"? It makes sense, and you know what they are talking about, but it's not the common usage of those in the business.

Ofcourse onlinedating.com is a much better name. There probably are many more better than internetdating.com but its still a good domain name considering the ovt and development potential. A domain like this can get lot of search engine traffic. This kind of domain works like a charm with MSN and If SEO is done well it could get 10-40% of the search count "internet dating" - thats 30k quality visits per month.

It definitely doesnt get that many visits. Have a look at its alexa rank .. there is none yet. The value of the domain lies in the future search engine traffic potential (search engines love this kind of domains) rather than current type ins.
