DnPowerful, frankly all your ramblings remind me of "Yes, I did kill. But I simply obeyed the orders. Besides, everybody did it."

Want to change the world? Begin with yourself.

I agree ebass....He's a goof!

There is a BIG difference.

What if your "legitimate" porn finds its way to some kid? Oh I see: in this case no harm is done.

Misdirected (as always) regulations simply shift the public attention away from real problem (which in this case is irresponsible parenting ), and concentrate it on "villains of the day". For what? For political gains only.

"Protect us from tobacco! Protect us from porn! Protect us from making our own decisions! Regulate our lifes so we wouldn't have to think for themselves! "

Well, there are many bad and ugly things in this world. And parents have the responsibility to protect and educate. Without relying on government.

Spam is one issue, and increasing filters are sophisticated enough to deal with it at least on the server level. However, segreagating to a .xxx tld would at least allow for sys admins (or parents) to ensure that no access to pornographic sites would be possible. This would also effectively protect public access terminals like schools or libraries.

Enforcing the no porn on .com (or other .tlds) would be trivial with the participation, and liability, or any hosts or registrars.

Why you all objecting? You like porn spam, and porn marketed indiscriminately?

You believe that responsible parenting and the inability to protect your kids 100% from the barrage of illicit porn spam or redirected porn sites hiding under non-porn urls are two mutually exclusive things.

Ridiculous. Do you consider yourselves reponsible parents? Tell me how you can ensure that your kids aren't exposed to illicit sex spam or redirected urls without locking up the computer??????

You sound like a bunch of apologists who, for your own selfish reasons, don't want ANY regulation of the porn biz. Adults can amuse themselves. However, any porn directed towards, or exploiting children is completely intolerable, and I would hope that we'd all endeavor to put an end to it.

Always amusing how facile the arguments of the no regulation lovers are .... couched under the guise of "I'm responsible, so I dont' need (or society doesn't need) any regulation ...."

Tell me, would you regulate and prosecute child pornographers, or is this another one of your "intolerable" instrustions of the State in your lives?

Some kind of regulation is needed, that goes without say. The other day i typed in www.prankcalls.com only to be re-directed to a porn site. Now kids might type in prank calls.com into a URL as prank calls can be very amusing, and i even believe there is a show in the US with puppets thats does prank calls.

No one is saying porn should be banned (if they are then they are stupid)..........they are just saying that companies need to be responsible for their actions. Personally, i would like to see all owners of domain names which re-direct to porn sites fined and have their domain taken from them. This in its self would deter people from using this shady form of practice.
