Thanks for the tip I researched it and found that it'll be pretty interesting. You're able to adjust all the different instruments on a song - vocals, drums, guitar, etc....
Also, a big plus is once you buy a song you can copy/share it for free with as many ppl as you like.... so i reg'd mt9share.com

I don't think any known singer will favor MT9 if this is true.
Their income will reduce to almost nothing if people can copy/share their song legally.

Many new artists have no way to market these days and go through this type of channel. iTunes DRM has been cracked for a long time now.

Most artists make squat (very little) when it comes to album sales, most of it goes to the record company, producers, and other "suits".

They make money off of the concerts and merchandise, neither of which can be downloaded (for the full effect).

Also, during the whole Napster thingamajig they found out that people who downloaded music were more likely to purchase the albums

Plus, I don't think this would have a way to take a CD and rip it into an MT9 (the other way around might be possible). MT9 sales would be strictly MT9s. Huge potential for DJs, karaoke, and spoofers (Weird Al etc..). The rest of us (majority) would most likely have easy access to what the artists want released (demos).
