So I recently registered a pretty bland domain that used to be an adult site, its first day of parking was yesterday and my stats showed: 3 hits

I was crushed...but as I was scrolling down the page I saw:

404 error traffic - 387

So now I've set up a 404 error page and am hoping to see some serious traffic in there tomorrow

Am I missing something... ?

Well, I have a similar situation with www.thescripts.net
I caught the domain using eNom Club Drop, and you can see how many (unexpected) hits ...:D

he received 387 uniques leftover link traffic from other sites/bookmarks and going to the pages which r no longer there. for example: adult-mega-domain.biz/boobs4us.html

now he is putting an error redirect page which will be forwarding all that traffic 2 the destination page/site of his choice.

basically, producer hit the nail on the head and its funny because its the first time I ever went after an expired traffic domains...

its not acutally an adult domain per say, but the pervious owner used it that way

Yeah I knew what u were talking about but I was just wondering what was so weird about getting 404 traffic to pages other than the root domain address?

What domain is it GT?

Moral of the story. A domain name, no matter how good, does not equate to traffic. Development and traffic tricks is king in this game. Learn this skill, and you can outbeat even sex.com.

the domain name is: mccmcc.net (has a nice ring to it, doesnt it) :-D
