Diamond.com $7,500,000

Diamond.com was a fully functioning website that was purchased in June 2006 by a company called Ice.com, one of the largest online jewelry sites. I understand that the price included not only the name but the total business. Ice.com probably got a good deal as diamond.com has been an established business for several years with sales in the eight figures. Diamond is a universally established name in the jewelry business, one of the best names.

Most people don't realize it but jewelry alone in the US is a $60 billion a year business. Jewelry worldwide is booming particularily in developing countries. The value of this domain for branding/marketing purposes will be much greater than the purchase price in the coming years.
